Keith discovered the joys of sculpting relatively late in life after a career as a Chartered Electrical Engineer. Following Sculpting courses at Bradford and York colleges, including 7 years with the sculptor Dominic Hopkinson, Keith concentrates on stone carving and bronze casting as his main artistic processes.

He has recently had a solo exhibition entitled "Resisting the Rising Sea", as part of the BasementArtsProject in Beeston Leeds and you may be familiar with Keith's wonderful Jacob's ladder commissioned by BasementArtsProject and finished in 2022. If you haven't seen it then please do go and visit, it has a wonderful power and presence.

Keith’s sculptures are abstract and often made from local stone. For him, carving stone, is both a philosophical and practical investigation into the qualities of the material itself. The chemical and geological origins of the stone he carves are analysed and studied to inform the formal outcomes of his work.
